PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heading machine which enables the seating state of a die block and a punch block to be confirmed upon loading them, has excellent setup easiness, facilitates the management of abnormality determination and hardly damages a sensor. SOLUTION: The heading machine is provided with; a base 2; the die block 1 to be loaded on a seating surface of the base 2 in an attachable and detachable manner; the plurality of dies fitted to the die block 1; a ram reciprocated relative to the base 2; a punch block to be loaded on the seating surface of the ram in an attachable and detachable manner; the plurality of punches fitted to the punch block; a transfer part; and a driving part, and the heading machine is characterized in that it is equipped with pressurizing chambers (31, 32) opening to at least one side of the seating surface (20) of (the base 2) of the base and the ram; a pressure gas encapsulating means 5 for encapsulating the pressure gas having a prescribed pressure into the pressurizing chamber (31, 32); and an abnormality-determining means 6 for judging the occurrence of seating abnormality when the pressure of the pressurizing chamber is lowered from a regulated pressure value within a prescribed time after encapsulating the pressurizing gas.
