PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component installing tool capable of preventing a component from being fixed by soldering while floating over a circuit board to cause a mounting defect or engagement defect. SOLUTION: The component installing tool 100a is inserted into a through hole 106 formed in a first surface St of the circuit board 103 and a second surface Sb opposed to the first surface St to fit the component onto the first surface St. The component installing tool 100a includes: a friction imparting member 102a which is elastically pressed against an internal wall surface 107 of the circuit board 103 which forms the through hole 106 to generate frictional force with the internal wall surface 107; a fall preventive member 101 opposed to the second surface Sb of the circuit board 103; and an abutting member 104a which abuts on the first surface St of the circuit board 103 to restrict the position of the friction imparting member 102 on the internal wall surface 107 and the position of the fall preventive member 101 with respect to the second surface Sb.
