A cup assembly includes a cup 10 and a lid 20 between which a liquid cooling compartment is formed. First and second passages allow liquid communication within this compartment, between the lid and cup. When the lid is rotated so that the first passage is clear and the second passage is blocked, upon tipping the cup, the cooling compartment is filled with liquid contained in the cup. For the cooled liquid to be consumed, the lid is then rotated so that the first passage is blocked and the second passage is clear and the liquid in the cooling compartment is able to flow out of outlet 23 in the lid. |
