PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing apparatus configured to smoothly guide a sheet to a fixing nip part and to prevent image defect to be caused when conveyance of the sheet is partially prevented, and an image forming apparatus including the same.SOLUTION: A fixing apparatus 20 includes a fixing roller 21, a pressure roller 22, an entry guide 50, and a guide adjustment section. An outer diameter in an axial central part of the fixing roller 21 is smaller than that at both axial ends thereof. The pressure roller 22 forms a fixing nip part N with the fixing roller 21. The entry guide 50 is arranged at a predetermined distance from a first peripheral surface 21A of the fixing roller 21, to cause a tip of the sheet to enter the fixing nip part N after guiding it toward the first peripheral surface 21A. The guide adjustment section changes the shape of the entry guide 50 while the sheet P passes through the entry guide 50. |
