PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and effective dryer which can be moved, while being mounted on a vehicle or the like. SOLUTION: The whole drying equipment is constituted as an on-vehicle device. A mixing feeder 12 of such structure that is inclined upward from a dry powder feeding port 14 below a cyclone 48 toward a mixture feeding port 28 above a disintegrator 38 of a flash dryer 36, is used to mix dehydrated cake of sludge with a lot of dry sludge powder. The mixture is pulverized to increase the surface area thereof and to effectively dry it by the flash dryer 36 provided with the disintegrator 38. As a drying heat source of the flash dryer 36, waste combustion gas of a gas turbine 40 is introduced and the power for equipment is supplied by a generator 42 connected to the gas turbine 40. The treated water of a sewage treating plant is used to subject dry waste gas to washing treatment by a scrubber 75.
