PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the occurrence of gear noise in quick operation in a synchronizing device for a transmission which can improve synchronizing performance by a self-servo action. SOLUTION: A thrust piece 28 inserted into a groove 24e of a sleeve 24 so as to be slidable in the rotational direction, is formed into a shape in which the thrust piece 28 can be brought into contact with inclined faces 20h, 20i, 20j, and 20k of the hub 20 by being allowed to rotate to the hub 20 when axially moved toward one synchronizing ring 16 from a neutral position, and also, the thrust piece 28 is not rotated to the hub 20 when moved to the other synchronizing ring 16 from the neutral position. A spring 18 on the one synchronizing ring 16 side can press the one synchronizing ring 16, and also, can be engaged with the other synchronizing ring 16 in the rotational direction.
