PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet the adhesive force of which can be controlled simply and inexpensively without adversely affecting its design flexibility and which is excellent in workability in its use, a process for producing the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet and a method for controlling the adhesive force of the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet simply and inexpensively without adversely affecting the design. SOLUTION: A pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet is produced by laminating, on a base material 1, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 2 and a nonadhesive layer 3, in a manner such that part of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is exposed over the whole surface of the nonadhesive layer. In the process for producing the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet, the nonadhesive layer applied in a given pattern on a release paper 4 and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer coated on the base material are laminated. The nonadhesive layer is applied in a given pattern on the release paper and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is applied thereon and, thereafter, the base material is laminated thereto such that the surface on which the nonadhesive layer and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer are brought in contact with an adherend makes substantially the same plane. The method for controlling a 180 deg. peeling adhesion force is effected by varying an area ratio of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer to the nonadhesive layer on the surface on which the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and the nonadhesive layer are brought into contact with the adherend of the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet.
