A digital content distribution control method and system for authenticating and verifying the right information of the digital content registered by the individual content provider to avoid the problems that the digital content cannot be protected or cannot be decrypted after it is downloaded by the user because the right registration is not proceed or the right registration failed is disclosed. When the request of distributing the digital content from the content distribution unit is received, the distribution control unit queries whether the right information corresponding to the digital content requested to be distributed exists on the right distribution unit, and if exists, allows to distribute the digital content of the content distribution unit or the downloading address of the digital content, thus the unreliability of the content usage and authorization due to the limitation of the system capability or the defect of the stability is avoided, and it also guarantees the content purchaser can obtain the right object distributed by the right distribution unit and render the digital content after the digital content is distributed.
