METHOD OF SCREENING SUBSTANCE HAVING ANTIRHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS ACTIVITY AND METHOD OF EVALUATING THE SAME

It is intended to provide a method of efficiently evaluating the antirheumatoid arthritis activity of a test substance, and a method of efficiently screening a substance having an antirheumatoid arthritis activity, in particular, a candidate for an excellent remedy or preventive for rheumatoid arthritis by which joint damage caused by rheumatoid arthritis can be treated or prevented. Namely, a method of evaluating the antirheumatoid arthritis activity of a test substance which comprises: (a) the step of detecting an ability of the test substance to bind to cycline-dependent kinase; and (b) the step of detecting an inhibitory effect of the test substance on a biological phenomenon inducing damage on a joint tissue; and a screening method using the above-described method.
