PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can generate a latent image having a low level of visibility under visible light.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 forms a K monochromatic gray sample image on an intermediate transfer printing belt. The density of the formed image is detected by a density sensor 112. The image forming apparatus 1 determines the density of CMY so that the K monochromatic gray and the CMY mixed color gray may be isochromatic under visible light on the basis of a K-CMY correlation table stored in an HDD 103 and the result of detection by the density sensor 112. The K-CMY correlation table may be a table in which values are fixed or a table in which they are variable. The image forming apparatus 1 generates a latent image in which a monochromatic gray dot image is hidden in a mixed color gray dot image and forms an image by superimposing it on another image. |
