PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber changeover method and optical fiber changeover device that can increase the relative positional accuracy between a bent part of an optical fiber as a changeover origin and one end of an optical fiber as a changeover destination, and can reduce the impact when the optical fiber as the changeover origin is bent.SOLUTION: The optical fiber changeover method includes: a first step of arranging one end of a condenser lens 17b optically coupled to an optical fiber F2 and a bent column 11 in parallel; a second step of arranging an optical fiber core F1 between the one end of the condenser lens 17b and the bent column 11 while a bent part P1 of the optical fiber core F1 is in contact with the bent column 11; a third step of pressing up a front part P2 and a rear part P3 of the optical fiber core F1 using a first guide member 12; and a fourth step of transmitting and receiving signal light between a side surface of the bent part P1 of the optical fiber core F1 and one end of the optical fiber F2.
