PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter for skiving machining and a producing apparatus for crown gear in which enhanced productivity is realized without reduction in machining accuracy and service life of the cutter in machining for crown gear.SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises a cutter 3 comprising: a blade formation part comprising at least one screw part having the same sectional shape as blade on tip edge part at any position; a columnar holding part which is fixed on rotational axis of a machine tool and having a large-diameter than the blade formation part; and a middle part which is arranged between the blade formation part and the holding part, and whose sectional shape is changed while expansion into the configuration of the holding part from the configuration of the blade formation part. The apparatus comprises a cutting controlling part 6: which designs an inclination angle θ and cutting depth of the cutter 3 relatively to a work 1; which designs moving path of the cutter 3 so as to be offset to upper side in rotational direction of the work in a view directing to first axis shaft X1 without crossing with the first axis shaft X1; and which moves the cutter 3 for cutting on virtual plane S orthogonal to first axis shaft X1 while rotating the work 1 and the cutter 3 in a synchronized manner.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
