PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting method capable of securing a uniform processing quality over the whole area of a finish-processing surface, while using a general purpose machine.SOLUTION: The cutting method is provided so that a work 10 is fixed on a table 2 for rotating around a first rotary shaft 3a, and while rotating the work 10 around the rotary shaft 3a, a cutter 4 for rotating around a second rotary shaft 5a parallel to the rotary shaft 3a, is displaced toward the axis G1 of the rotary shaft 3a on a plane orthogonal to the rotary shaft 3a, and the work 10 is cut. A work rotating speed A is controlled so that a peripheral speed V in a cutting part by a cutter 4 of the work 10 becomes constant in response to an X coordinate of the axis G2 of the cutter 4, and a cutter feed speed B is controlled so that a cutter passing frequency C in the cutting part becomes constant. |
