PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair type massage machine capable of preventing generation of wrinkles on the cushion skin on a seat surface and eliminating deficiency such as stretching of the cushion skin to full length. SOLUTION: In the chair type massage machine 1, a backrest part 7 in a raised state can be reclined forward to a seat part 3. The massage machine has a forward reclining restraining pin 20 for restraining a backrest face 7a or a treating means 8a projecting forward from the backrest face 7a from being reclined forward more than at an angle to be brought into contact with the seat surface 3a of the seat part 3 when the backrest part 7 is reclined forward.
