PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod equipped with a butt on the rod end of the main rod, improved in the workability in making a maintenance of or replacing the butt to facilitate joining the butt and the main rod each other. SOLUTION: The fishing rod has the following construction: A screw 2a to be formed on the rod end of the main rod 2 and a screw 3c to be formed on the joining rod 3B for the butt 3 are integratedly formed, both the screws 2a and 3c being separated into a main rod portion and a butt portion, one of the portions is attached to the rod end of the main rod 2, while the other is attached to the rod end of the butt 3, and the butt 3 is screwed, under attachment to the main rod 2, with a nut element 5 bridged over both of the screws 2a and 3c.
