PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an impact when a sheet-like medium is inserted into between a first abutting part and a second abutting part.SOLUTION: There is provided a pressure device applying pressure to a sheet-like medium having an image carrier formed on a part of its surface, the pressure device comprising: a first abutting part and a second abutting part that are provided to be capable of contacting or separating with/from each other and sends out, while applying pressure to, the sheet-like medium by at least one of which rotating while the sheet-like medium sandwiched by the abutting parts; a control part that controls a driving part so that the distance between the first abutting part and second abutting part becomes a preset target value; and a target setting part that sets the target value. When the sheet-like medium is not present between the first abutting part and second abutting part, the target setting part sets the target value to a fist distance longer than the thickness of the sheet-like medium, and when the sheet-like medium and the image carrier are present between the first abutting part and second abutting part, sets the target value to a second distance for applying a target pressure to the sheet-like medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
