Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for providing a service by using visible light communication and a terminal for the same. According to the present invention, a visible light signal is transmitted by switching on/off a light emitting element corresponding to a coordinate value included in information related to a product; the visible light signal received by using a terminal is converted to output product output information; and a purchase and payment service with respect to specific product information of the product output information is performed. A total payment sum service and a payment service can be performed in a state where the product is contained in a shopping cart, thereby providing a rapid and effective shopping environment. Also, the product and a customer′s trends can be analyzed by using the shopping cart and a smartphone, thereby improving the shopping environment.
