Disclosed is an embossed sheet comprising at least two layers with contrasting appearances. The sheet is embossed whereby on parts of the embossments the first sheet is removed to make the second sheet visible. The embossed sheet material is useful as a wrapping material for cigarettes or other smoking articles.
