A die assembly comprises a die, a cavity insert assembly (20) having a cavity insert (30), and a first electrode (60A) and a second electrode (60B). The insert (30) is constituted of an insert body (31) and an insulation layer (33). The insert assembly (20) further includes a heat generation member (41) for generating Joule heat, which is electrically connected to the first electrode (60A) and the second electrode (60B), secured onto the insulation layer (33), and forms a part of a cavity (15).
