A polymerization-encapsulated cholesteric liquid crystal for a bistable reflective display is provided to realize a flexible display with all advantages of cholesteric liquid crystal, and minimize damage of a pressure point by using a capsulized liquid crystal area. A liquid crystal display(10) includes at least one or more bases(12), and a polymerized liquid crystal dispersion liquid arranged on the bases. The polymerized liquid crystal dispersion liquid includes a plurality of areas(20) arranged on the bases. The polymerized liquid crystal dispersion liquid includes a liquid crystal material(22) which is unable to be polymerized, a mixture of monomers which are able to be polymerized, and a polymer initiator, wherein the monomers include one or more radicals which are able to be polymerized. The size of each area is controlled by the number of radicals to be polymerized of the monomers. |
