<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable measurement of high sensitivity even in a case that surface oscillation is produced during rotation of a support in a bio-sample discrimination apparatus for irradiating the bio-sample with light while rotating the support for supporting a very small amount of the bio-sample to detect the same. <P>SOLUTION: The light from a semiconductor laser 10 is once condensed to a condenser 11 for a light source, the condensing position of the light is allowed to coincide with the front focal position of a condenser 12 for illumination and positional adjustment is performed by an actuator 13 for the light source and an actuator 14 for the condenser of the light source not only to bring illumination light to parallel light but also to adjust a beam size constant.
