PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion exchange resin column in which a perfect fixed bed can be formed and a turbid substance can be easily removed by backwashing by preventing the fluidization of the lower part of a resin layer without causing a space associated with the shrinkage of an ion exchange resin even in the initial stage of the regeneration, in an ion exchange resin column in which regeneration is performed by an ascending flow.SOLUTION: There is provided an ion exchange resin column 1 of a descending circulation water, ascending flow regeneration system in which a packed layer of an ion exchange resin 6 is formed in a column body 2, where a meshbasket 5 is provided on the upper side of the packed layer of an ion exchange resin 6. Stoppers 20 composed of a bolt are screwed with a hole 2 provided on the upper part of the column body 2.
