The invention relates to an apparatus for cutting a web material (10) into a number of part-webs by longitudinally cutting and spreading the part-webs, comprising a dispensing device (2) for providing the web material, at least one cutting device (3) configured to create at least one longitudinal cut in the web material, and at least one spreading device (4) by means of which the part-webs (10a, 10b, 10c) obtained following the at least one longitudinal cut are deflected at least in part transversely to the conveying direction (FR) thereof and are spaced apart from one another by the deflection, wherein provision is made of a first control circuit (20) by means of which the position of the web material (10) transversely to the conveying direction (FR) thereof is controlled prior to feeding to the cutting device (3), and wherein provision is made of at least one second control circuit (30) which interacts with the spreading device (3) and by means of which the deflection of at least one part-web (10a, 10b, 10c) transversely to the conveying direction (FR) thereof is controlled. |
