PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To judge a similarity degree among compound words, considering a shade of meaning of each compound word to be compared. SOLUTION: A compound word similarity degree judging system is provided with a word relation dictionary storage part 31 for storing a prescribed word and a related word related to it, a compound word resolving means 21 for resolving the compound words into word levels which are stored in the storage part 31 for each compound word to be compared, a word relation information obtaining means 22 for generating a synonym list based on the word and the related word which are stored in the storage part 31 for each word of the compound word at the side of comparison reference among the resolved compound words, a word comparing means 23 for judging whether each word of the compound word at the side of a comparison object among the resolved compound words is contained in a word information list generated in the obtaining means 22 or not and a similarity degree establishing means 24 for giving an evaluation value which indicates the similarity degree for each corresponding word in accordance with the comparison result and calculating the similarity degrees of the compound words to be compared based on the evaluation value. |
