PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a unmonitored state to as much as possible by sufficiently utilizing the monitoring function of a fire and gas leakage even during the stoppage of alarming by stopping alarming according to need. SOLUTION: This alarm 1 is provided with a fire detection part 2 for detecting the fire, gas detection parts (3 and 4) for detecting the gas leakage, an alarm determination part 12 for generating an alarm signal when output from each detection part exceeds previously fixed thresholds, a voice control part 14 for outputting a voice signal reporting the fire or the gas leakage based on the alarm signal from the alarm determination part 12, and a voice alarm part 20 for outputting a voice alarm by the voice signal from the voice control part 14. The alarm is provided with an alarm stoppage control part 18 which stops output of the voice alarm by discriminating prescribed switch operation for alarm stoppage with an alarm stoppage switch, which intermittently gives information that the alarm is in an alarming stopping state during the stoppage of alarming, which releases the alarming stopping state after a prescribed period has passed since alarm stoppage, and which makes the voice alarm again outputted when the alarm signal continues at that time.
