<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for synchronizing two groups within a network. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus for synchronizing a first transmit or receiving device to a second transmitting or receiving device is described, wherein the apparatus is located in the first transmitting or receiving device and comprises a receiver, a transmitter and a processing unit. The receiver implemented to receive a first synchronization signal from the second transmitting or receiving device, the first synchronization signal corresponding to a first predetermined group. The transmitter is implemented to transmit a second synchronization signal which is different from the first synchronization signal, and corresponds to a second predetermined group to which the first transmitting or receiving device belongs, wherein the second synchronization signal is after a synchronization time in synchronism with the first synchronization signal from the second transmitting or receiving device. The processing unit is implemented to control the receiver to be ready to receive the first synchronization signal from the second transmitting or receiving device in a listen state and to control the transmitter to transmit the second synchronization signal in a transmit state, which begins after an internal signal value has reached a threshold value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
