PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: when there is a step part in an area where a nip forming member forms a fixing nip, a fixing belt cannot sufficiently deform following the shape of the step part, and thereby a gap is generated between the nip forming member and the fixing belt and pressure relief occurs at a part of the fixing nip.SOLUTION: A step part B is provided in an area where a nip forming member 24 forms a fixing nip N, and a gap filling member 243 for filling a gap generated between the nip forming member 24 and a first fixing member 21 at the step part B is interposed between the nip forming member 24 and the first fixing member 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
