An improved system and method are disclosed for receiving sensor readings from one or more devices and processing the readings in real time to create an output. For example, the method may include, for each device, calculating a value based on the sensor readings obtained from the device for which the value is being calculated. Each of the values that satisfies at least one defined parameter is identified. All of the values that satisfy the defined parameter are aggregated to form an aggregated value. A defined action is executed based on the aggregated value. The steps of receiving, calculating, identifying, aggregating, and executing occur in real time without storing the sensor readings, the values, or the aggregated value.

1. A system for processing a plurality of sensor readings in real time, the system comprising:
a processor; and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory storing a plurality of instructions for execution by the processor for
a platform instance having a core configured to interact with an operating system, wherein the core is configured to run at least a first service that is configured to run a plurality of blocks, wherein each block operates independently from the other blocks in an asynchronous manner and includes a set of platform specific instructions that enable the block to operate within the platform instance and a set of task specific instructions that enable the block to perform a specific task, and wherein the plurality of blocks are configured with task specific instructions for:
receiving a plurality of sensor readings from a plurality of devices;calculating, for each of the devices, a value based on the sensor readings received from the device for which the value is being calculated;identifying each of the values that meets at least one defined parameter;aggregating all of the values that meet the defined parameter to form an aggregate value; andexecuting a defined action based on the aggregate value, wherein the steps of receiving, calculating, identifying, aggregating, and executing occur in real time without storing the sensor readings, the values, or the aggregate value.
