<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaper that can perform shaping to ensure minimum band for each user at a high-speed, even when number of the users is increased. SOLUTION: When packets reach a shaper section 500, an abort control section 510 discriminates 'storage' or 'abortion' of the arrived packets. A packet storage FIFO 520 stores the packets discriminated to be 'storage' and transmits the packets at a band that is a total sum of a minimum band of each user or over. A band monitor section 600 checks the band for each user and discriminates packets within the minimum band to be priority packets and the other packets than the priority packets to be non-priority packets. When many packets are stored in the packet storage FIFO 520, the abort control section 510 discriminates the non-priority packets to be 'abort' with priority for protecting the priority packets, so as to ensure the shaper section 500 as to the minimum band of each user.</p> |
