The appliance is for cutting of timber and has positioner rings between the saw blades. The saw blades (1) are sprayed with an air-water mixture (2). The blade teeth have a side projection relative to the maximum blade thickness cutting into the timber (3), which is smaller than 0,3 + R x 0,0022mm, and maximum 0,55mm, with R being the maximum radial penetration depth of the saw blade. The saw blades have broaching blades with a projection of less than 0,3mm relative to S, or alternatively, are without broaching blades.
