PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow melting structure of the road surface of a station platform capable of reducing cost by eliminating the need of electric power, facilitating maintenance operation, and capable of rapidly coping with sudden snow fall. SOLUTION: This snow melting structure comprises a heat storage layer 10 and a high heat conductive layer 20 directly joined to the upper part of the heat storage layer 10. The heat storage layer 10 comprises a first cement mortar part 13 with relatively high strength and a second cement mortar part 14 with relatively low strength. A microcapsule 11 in which a heat storage material 11A with a melting point of 0 to 5°C is enclosed is mixed in the second cement mortar part 14. The high heat conductive layer 20 is formed of a material with a heat conductivity of 15 W/m K or higher. A material containing a 40 to 60 vol.% glass foam body and a 35 to 60 vol.% aluminum is adopted for the material. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
