PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide glass molded bodies which can satisfactorily adsorb even in a high temperature state and easily separate even when they are stacked; and to provide methods for efficiently manufacturing glass substrates used for information recording media, and the information recording media, by using the glass molded bodies. SOLUTION: Each glass molded body is manufactured by press-molding molten glass with a mold and has front and rear molding transfer surfaces, wherein, one of the molding transfer surfaces is a smooth surface having a surface roughness (Ra) of 0.01-0.1μm and the other of the molding transfer surfaces is a coarse surface having a surface roughness (Ra) of 0.15-5μm.
