PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communications device that enables a user who uses a slave unit positioned remotely from a master unit to pre-estimate a communication state of radio communication with the master unit, and to provide the slave unit used by the communications device. SOLUTION: The communications device is such that when the master unit starts radio communication by a second communication means (by a second communication system) with an external communications device, a communication start notifying means of the master unit transmits a notice of the start of communication to the slave unit; and when the slave unit receives the notice of the start of communication, a notifying means of the slave unit gives notice indicating that the master unit is communicating with the external communication device by the second communication means on the slave unit side. Consequently, the user who uses the slave unit can pre-estimate the communication state when the slave unit, and master unit perform radio communication by a first communications system.
