The mobile terminal comprises a short message receiving and sending module (10), an immediate communicating module (20), and a short message display module (30). The method comprises: receiving the short message; judging whether the immediate communicating module (20) of the mobile terminal is startup, if so, displaying the short message in the operating interface of the immediate communicating module (20).
