PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent that both housings of a connector are left in a half-fitting state. SOLUTION: As for the connector, out of a mutually fittable or detachable pair of male and female housings 10, 40, in the female housing 10, a detecting member 60 is attached which waits at a waiting position when both housings 10, 40 are in the unfitted state, and in which a moving operation to a detecting position is allowed when the both housings 10, 40 are in a normally fitted state. The detecting member 60 is moved to the same direction as a fitting direction of the male housing 40 of a counterpart side toward the detecting position after the both housings 10, 40 are fitted. When the both housings 10, 40 are in the half-fitting state, if a push-in operational force toward the detecting position side is added to the detecting member 60, the both housings 10, 40 become to be in a state mutually separated.
