PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time in which reproduction is disabled, by repairing an error of a stream even when an error occurs in any other data than time information or there are not two or more streams of the same contents.SOLUTION: A stream repairing device comprises: a first storage section which stores a bit stream including an error-correcting external code; an error correcting section 4 which performs error correction on a TS packet using the error-correcting external code, outputs information in a part to which the error correction has been applied and the error-corrected TS packet; a kind estimating section 6 which estimates the kind of the TS packet and outputs an estimation result; an error detecting section 7 which detects an error of the TS packet and outputs an error detection result; a correction section 10 which outputs a TS packet which has been corrected on the basis of the estimation result and the error detection result; and a second storage section which stores the corrected TS packet. The error correcting section 4 is configured to perform the error correction again on the TS packet stored in the second storage section on the basis of the error-correcting external code stored in the first storage section. |
