PURPOSE: An indoor unit for an airconditioner is provided to improve cooling effect by sending cool air around the indoor unit using a turbo fan. CONSTITUTION: The indoor unit of an airconditioner comprises; a casing (60) with a grille type air vent (52) installed on the top and a suction hole (51) formed in the base part; a heat exchanger (56) installed in the casing (60) to absorb the heat of the air around it by the evaporation of the coolant; a turbo fan (57) installed horizontally with the top panel of the casing to discharge the air cooled by the heat exchanger thru the air vent (52); a motor to drive the turbo fan (57). |
