PURPOSE: An indoor unit of a separate type air conditioner is provided to make the injection molding easier and reduce occurrence of bending to the parts of the unit during the assembly work or in operation. CONSTITUTION: The indoor unit of a separate type airconditioner comprises; a base member fixed on the wall; a main body(1) fixed in front of the base member, providing a space to accommodate a heat exchanger and a horizontal air current fan between the base member and the main body(1); an upper panel and a lower panel fixed on the top and the bottom of the main body; a left cover and a right cover fixed on both sides of the main body(1).
