PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust remover for a sheet-like material capable of effectively removing foreign matter such as dust and human hair on the surface of the sheet-like material in the midst of running in spite of a simple structure thereof. SOLUTION: The dust remover is disposed oppositely to a running sheet-like material 2 and is provided with a suction pipe 10 of sucking air from the direction of the sheet-like material 2. The suction pipe 10 has a suction slit 102 extending along the width direction of the sheet-like material 2 oppositely to the sheet-like material 2. Further, the suction pipe 10 has a contact part 103 which is in contact with the sheet-like material 2 and a non-contact part 104 which is not in contact with the sheet-like material 2 respectively on both side end parts 10a, 10b which are opposed to each other in the peripheral direction of pipe across the suction slit 102. The suction slit 102 is opening to the downstream side of the sheet travel direction from a tangential line with the sheet-like material 2 in the contact part 103. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
