<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kit for removing an umbrella blood vessel filter formed by a front end (31) acting as retaining sleeve for a plurality of elastic strands (32) naturally spaced apart from one another and tipped with hooks (33) oriented outwards to be immobilized on the wall of a vessel. <P>SOLUTION: A kit comprises a first catheter (1), called external catheter, and a rod which can be inserted into the external catheter. The rod comprises at its tips a plurality of elastic branches (18) having hooks (20) flaring from the rod and naturally spaced apart from one another and bent inwardly to grip the front end (31) of the filter by closing on one another.
