PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular parking lock device which can prevent tooth cracks by reducing a contact surface pressure in a contact part on one side in the tooth width direction coming in a preceding contact upon a biting start of a parking ball into a parking gear.SOLUTION: In a vehicular parking lock device comprising a parking gear 3 mounted on a rotary element of a power transmission, a parking ball 4 having a biting tooth part 4a capable of biting into a gap of the tooth part, and a cam member 15 that moves in the axial direction of the rotary element to make the parking ball 4 swing, at least one tooth part 4a out of the biting tooth part 4a of the parking ball 4 and the plurality of tooth parts 3t of the parking gear 3 has a flank part 31, inclining to a tip surface 4a1 of a biting contact region and one end surface 4a2 in the tooth width direction, in a contact part E on one end side in the tooth width direction coming in a preceding contact when biting into a gap of the plurality of tooth parts 3t, thereby reducing a contact surface pressure in the contact part E upon a contact start or a ratchet function exertion. |
