The present invention relates to a geopositioning device (10), which comprises: a receiver of a signal emitted by a local emitter (40), operating in a first frequency range (f1); an emitter (21) operating in a second frequency range (f2), the emission thereof being in UNB; a geopositioning means; and a monitoring circuit (20) arranged to: detect when the device (10) exits the field of the local emitter (40); activate the emitter if the device exits the field of the local emitter (40) and transmit via the emitter the position of the device as determined by the geopositioning means; and, if the device is present in the field of the local emitter (40), keeping the device (10) in a standby state with low power consumption. |
