A side loading packaging machine for packaging articles (1) in containers (2) comprising: a section (3) for forming containers starting from die-cuttings, comprising at least one feeding device (8), a loading section (4), a closing section (5), substantially aligned along a longitudinal axis (L) of the machine; further comprising a conveyor (6) equipped with transportation members (19) configured to carry at least one of said containers (2) each, wherein said conveyor (6) comprises motor means (17, 18, 20, 21) arranged to drive the advance of said transportation members (19) or groups thereof in an independent manner, and the machine operates with: a continuous formation of boxes, said feeding member working with a continuous movement and with a constant rate over time, and said transportation members (19) advancing with a continuous movement at said forming section (3); and a static loading, said transportation members (19) being stationary during the loading of articles (1) into the containers (2). |
