PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery arranged so that gas generated in the battery can be easily collected; and a method for evaluating gas generated by a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, which enables easy analysis on gas generated in the battery.SOLUTION: A laminate cell type nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises: a laminate cell outer casing which contains an electrode part, provided that the electrode part has positive and negative electrodes opposed to each other through a separator. The laminate cell outer casing has a connector attached thereto for gas collection. The laminate cell type nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is used to collect gas generated in the battery from the connector for gas collection, and the gas thus collected is analyzed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
