<p>The invention relates to a vehicle sun roof structure and a method for assembling such a structure onto a vehicle body, wherein the sunroof structure is mounted between first and second side rails extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body and substantially defining an upper contour and outer side edges of a roof for said vehicle body. According to a preferred embodiment the method comprising the steps of;
- locating longitudinal sections of a first and a second bracket along opposing sides of a predetermined substantially horizontal section of a respective first and second side rails and welding the brackets to said side rails,
- locating a sunroof frame and a support frame onto a number of transverse sections of said first and second brackets and attaching the sunroof frame and support frame to said brackets.</p> |
