<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device in which a power source and electronic components are protected against abnormal states. <P>SOLUTION: An abnormality detecting circuit 71 includes a voltage dividing circuit 711 which outputs a voltage generated by dividing a write bias voltage Vsc as a detection voltage, a constant voltage circuit 712 which generates first and second constant voltages, a first comparator CMP1 which outputs a first detection signal indicating that voltage variation is detected when the detection voltage is above the first constant voltage, a second comparator CMP2 which outputs a second detection signal indicating that voltage variation is detected when the detection voltage is below the second constant voltage, and a decision circuit 713 which outputs a voltage abnormality detection signal indicating that abnormality is detected when at least one of the first and second detection signals indicates the detection of voltage variation. The abnormality detecting circuit 71 stops driving operation of an electrode driver etc., when the voltage abnormality detection signal of the decision circuit 713 indicates detection of abnormality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
