PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To strengthen the cleaning force of a tool with a liquid coolant by effectively utilizing a small flow rate of pressurized air without any increase in discharge quantity of the liquid coolant. SOLUTION: In this cleaning device for a machine tool applied to a machine tool including a tool replacing mechanism for replacing a tool 6 fitted to a spindle 2, a plurality of cleaning nozzles 30 are formed in a spindle cap 20 fixed to the tip end face of a spindle head 4, and the liquid coolant is injected with a gradient like a coolant jet A from the cleaning nozzles 30 to the tool 6 moving toward a taper engagement hole 2a of the spindle 2. An air blowout hole 38 is formed in a part corresponding to the inner peripheral surface of the spindle cap 20 positioned on the inside diameter side from the plurality of cleaning nozzles 30, and a pressurized air flow B forming a cylindrical air curtain crosses the liquid coolant injected from the plurality of cleaning nozzles 30.
