<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine starter inexpensively reducing noises in driving. <P>SOLUTION: This engine starter is provided with a motor, a planetary reduction gear, a pinion, a ring gear, and a dog clutch. Each of least common multiples between f1 and f2, f1 and f3, f1 and f4, f2 and f3, f2 and f4, and f3 and f4 is set to be 5,000 or more, in f1=Z1×(N/60), f2=Z2×(N/60), f3=Z1/Z4×I×Z3×(I-1)/I×(N/60), and f4=Z1/Z4×I×Z5×(N/60), where N presents the number of revolutions of cranking, Z1 presents the number of teeth of the ring gear, Z2 presents the number of cams, Z3 presents the number of teeth of a sun gear, I presents a reduction ratio, Z4 presents the number of teeth of the pinion, and Z5 presents the number of segments. Thereby, even though the frequencies of harmonic components of noises caused by components match with each other, the frequencies can be set to 5,000 (Hz) or more. Consequently, even though mutual noises are superposed, such noises are hardly audible as loud noise to human ears.
