APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR COMMUNICATION USING NEAR GOLAY SEQUENCE

A communication apparatus capable of reducing PAPR(Peak-to-Average Power Ratio) of a signal with a near Golay sequence and a method thereof are provided to detect and correct an error by using a second order Reed-Muller coding in generating a modulation signal. A communication apparatus includes a coding part(203) and a modulation part(204). The coding part generates a codeword by performing a second order Reed-Muller coding of an information data. The modulation part generates a near Golay complementary sequence by performing an exponent modulation of a generated codeword. The coding part generates a codeword by using a first Reed-Muller generator and coset/offset of a second Reed-Muller code. The coset/offset of the second Reed-Muller code is generated based on permutation about the first Reed-Muller generator.
