PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lever for a transmission device not needing high accuracy in molding, dispensing with the work such as positioning a lever main body and a reinforcement plate, and fixing their positions, and free from the noise caused by the contact of the reinforcement plate and a rotating shaft or a plunger. SOLUTION: This lever for the transmission device is provided with the lever main body 101 comprising a shoe part 102 with which a surface of a traveling transmission medium is kept into contact to be slid, and a vertical plate part 103 vertically mounted at a rear side of the shoe part over the longitudinal direction, and integrally molded with a synthetic resin, and the metallic reinforcement plate 108 supported on the approximate center in the thickness direction of the vertical plate part over the longitudinal direction in a state of being gripped by the vertical plate part. The lever main body and the metallic reinforcement plate are integrally formed by an insert molding method while applying the metallic reinforcement plate as an insert fitting.
